A comfortable living area at the front of the property has three 2-seater sofas, footstool and cosy rug. Off the kitchen is a downstairs toilet / utility room with a washing machine for guests to use and a utility cupboard with room for coats. On the first floor the Master Bedroom has a deluxe King size zip and link bed with a 5900 pocket sprung mattress made from Egyptian cotton, with en-suite bathroom (bath with shower over). Next door is a Twin Room with full size single beds with 1300 pocket sprung mattresses made from bamboo fibres, wool and natural cotton and an en-suite shower room. Our favourite room is the Loft Room, which also boasts a super comfortable King size bed with a luxurious 4250 pocket sprung mattress made from Egyptian cotton, wool, hemp and flax and has a small en-suite with toilet and sink. You can enjoy an early morning cuppa in bed with the skylights open (hopefully looking out onto to blue skies!) and listening to the sounds of the seaside... (please note this room has sloping ceilings). All rooms have ample storage for clothes, with a selection of drawers, cupboards and hanging space. Towels and bedding are provided for all guests to use in the property. Pour yourself a glass of wine and have a soak after a long day at the beach… The twin bedroom has an en-suite shower room with a corner shower enclosure, toilet, sink with cupboard below and mirror above. Adjacent to the loft room there is a small en suite with a toilet and sink with mirror above and cupboard below. Please note there is a communal pathway between the courtyard and main garden, both secured with gates to be child friendly. Memories Southwold, Suffolk holds some very special memories for our family and we feel very privileged to have been able to buy our holiday cottage, Number Fifteen, in memory of Ed’s mum, Fiona. She loved spending time in Southwold, taking in everything this beautiful coastal town has to offer. We wish that all of our guests come away with a little piece of the Southwold magic and return time and time again to create new memories and traditions with the next generation. You will find the fabulous Mills & Sons & Daughters butchers and Little Gems grocers / whole food store on the town square and on a Monday and Thursday there is also a market selling fresh fruit and veg, as well as a variety of other stalls. You will find everything you need for the perfect picnic from the wide array of delis selling artisan foods. The Black Olive do great salads, quiches and pies. Get there mid morning before the queues and save for lunch. Try the famous Two Magpies Bakery for posh sausage rolls, brownies and artisan bread or The Farmhouse Bakery for good old traditional sausage rolls and cakes. Barbrook Stores in Reydon is also just a ten minute walk away (or a two minute drive if you must) - they have a great selection of goodies including fresh fruit and veg, essential groceries, artisan pizzas and yummy cakes. While you’re in Southwold you really can’t miss The Black Dog Deli across the water in Walberswick either – well worth the ferry trip! Stroll around Southwold’s famous pier, wander along the promenade and take in the iconic beach huts and the 17th century seafront cannons on Gun Hill. Head to The Swan for a sumptuous afternoon tea, or visit The Crown for a fabulous Sunday roast. There’s also a great selection of independent eateries, whether you’re looking for fine dining at Sutherland House, gourmet wagu burgers (and more) at The Sail Loft, want to try the outside dining pods at Coasters, or enjoy local freshly caught fish at The Sole Bay Fish Company, down by the harbour. The Little Fish and Chip Shop on East Street is run by the Sole Bay Fish Company and all fish is freshly caught off their very own boats. It’s also close enough for you to eat your catch on the beach without your chips getting cold! Mark’s Fish and Chip Shop on the High Street is just a five minute walk from Number Fifteen - call ahead to pre order and jump the queue for your takeaway, or eat inside their cute restaurant. Our family favourite is the Southwold Special from either the North Parade or Gun Hill Beach Kiosks.
